From the red carpet to Box@Home
"Service, assistance and friendliness are really super.
Both the people at reception and from the planning department were top-notch every time!!!
I also have only good memories of the collection and delivery of the BOX.
The workmen were always very competent, hard-working, helpful and extremely friendly.
The whole experience with Box@Home has been really super.
Highly recommended!
If it is good it may also be said!"
This wonderful review was written by one of our Box@Home customers, Nico Leunen (49).
Does this name ring a bell for you? Not surprisingly, as Nico is a Flemish film editor with an impressive track record.
This fact, together with Nico's great review of Box@Home, caught our attention anyway.
So we gave him a call for a short interview.
An impressive career
Nico Leunen has already won several awards as a film editor and worked on a bunch of films, including The Broken Circle Breakdown, Lost River, Beautiful Boy, Ad Astra, and so on. Together with his wife Fien Troch, a film director, they form a real power couple. Fien Troch released some well-known films like Home and also won the award for Best Direction with the film Kid. Her most recent film, Holly, which Nico also worked on, released in 22 November 2023.
What does Nico really think of Box@Home?
On Friday 24 November 2023, we call Nico.
He immediately starts off by saying, "So normally I never do this, but the experience with your company has been so positive for me that I am happy to make an exception!"
We may well can say that some pride rises within us on hearing these words.
When we ask Nico why he decided to engage us at the time, he begins his story. "
I am a film editor and I had decided to have my office space remodeled.
For this, my stuff needed to be temporarily be given another home.
An important aspect was that the space where they would be stored was sufficiently secure.
I had mostly private stuff to store, but also some professional material of value."
Google-man, are you there?
"I live in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek.
Garage boxes can certainly be found there, but they are too moist and not well protected against burglary.
So not an option.
Then I thought of a professional storage unit, but neighbors of mine had a not-so-pleasant experience with that.
Their storage unit was effectively broken into and all their valuables were taken or grabbed.
Then I started Googling and came across you.
You struck me as a professional company that knows what they are doing, so I didn't hesitate for long and placed an order for a 10ft container.
It was a bit of a gamble whether everything would fit in."
A not obvious place to deliver
"A renovation in itself is quite a stressful undertaking.
Even on the day that Box@Home came to deliver my Box, I got a bit stressed again because I did not live in the most obvious street to start maneuvering a truck.
However, the Box@Home driver had no stress at all.
He was the Zen master of calm or like they say Mr. Mellow.
As a result, he was actually able to calm my nerves as well.
That really felt like a relief.
I had rounded up some people to come and help load the Box, but the driver from Box@Home also helped himself.
You notice that those guys are experienced in piling up the belongings efficiently and safely.
That way, it actually went very smoothly.
They took my Box for safekeeping and that was that.
For me, it really felt like a reassurance.
I didn't have to worry about my belongings at all.
I could just get on with that renovation and not have to worry about everything else.
In the end, my stuff did stay in storage for a considerable time.
In total, I think it was a year and a half.
At one point, I briefly hesitated to come and look into my Box to get what I needed out of it, but as I wasn't sure how easy that would be, I left it as it was.
I thought this would be too much hassle.
I'm sure they would have helped me fine if I had called to ask for more info, but maybe that's a tip for you guys to explain that process in advance on the website."
A small mistake? No problem!
"Towards the end of the works, I then stopped the storage agreement via the website.
But just when I had done that, it turned out that the contractor would not meet the deadline after all.
Oh dear!
So then I cancelled that application again.
Fortunately, none of this was a problem.
Only, the loyalty discount I had been awarded as a result of my long retention period had been lost in those records.
That too was resolved in no time after a call to customer service.
A good month later, the storage agreement could then be terminated and I had the Box returned to a new address.
There I had reserved parking space so that the truck could be parked there, but of course there were still cars parked without permission.
Again, no problem for the drivers.
They waited patiently until the situation was resolved.
So I'll say it again: that reassurance as well as assistance that your team provides is truly worth its weight in gold."
We are very grateful to Nico for making time for us and providing such extensive feedback.
We also want to wish Nico and Fien the best of luck with their careers in the film industry.
